Leader of MPS visits Vietnam Buddhist Church on Great Buddha's Birthday

PSNews - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its monks, nuns and Buddhists in the country on the occasion of Buddha's 2567th birthday, (solar calendar 2023), on May 30, 2023, in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang presents flowers of congratulations to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday.

Standing Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and other venerable members of the Certification Council and the Executive Council welcomed the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Public Security Forces wish the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha further development.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed hope that dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists will continue to observe the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State's laws, actively participate in the movement “All people protect national security,” make more efforts to strengthen the great religious and national unity bloc, and collaborate closely with the authorities at all levels to build a civilized, prosperous and beautiful country.

Sincerely thanking the visiting delegation as well as the Ministry of Public Security and the Public Security Forces as a whole for the good sentiment, attentive thought and care for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its monks, nuns and Buddhists, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu affirmed that the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha always stand side by side with the People's Public Security Forces in maintaining and ensuring security and social order. 

He also expressed his belief that the People's Public Security Forces will successfully complete their assigned tasks of maintaining political security and ensuring social order and safety in the country, for the peace and happiness of the people.
