At the meeting with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sar Sokha, the two sides emphasized that, stemming from the high-level understanding between the leaders of the two Parties and countries; on the basis of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability"; and in order to make the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior a solid pillar in bilateral relations, the two sides agreed to coordinate resolutely to prevent and neutralize the activities of hostile and reactionary forces taking advantage of border and immigration issues to divide Cambodia–Vietnam relations.
The anti-crime police forces of the two Ministries will take turns organizing regular briefings to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in joint verification and investigation, as well as to promptly rescue victims, track down, and hand over criminals.
The two sides will also take turns organizing the "Vietnam–Cambodia Police Friendship Exchange" to further strengthen the fine traditional friendship between the two Ministries, as well as the mutual understanding and close affection among officers and soldiers.
At the bilateral meeting with Lao Minister of Public Security Vanthong Kongmany, the two Ministers agreed that cooperation between the two Ministries has recently achieved many important results, such as continuing to successfully coordinate in numerous joint major cases against drug crimes...
On the basis of the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic ties between Vietnam and Laos, the two sides agreed that the Security forces of both countries will effectively implement the Minutes of the 17th Vietnam–Laos Security Cooperation Conference. Meanwhile, the Police forces of the two countries will continue to enhance information sharing on cases and incidents involving subjects related to both nations, establish joint special cases, and jointly investigate cases involving Vietnamese and Lao nationals, as well as transnational criminal rings involving both countries.
