Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang and Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh co-chaired the ceremony. The event was also attended by leaders of both ministries and representatives of their respective functional units.
The development of this Coordination Regulation stems directly from practical requirements and emerging demands to safeguard national security and maintain social order across all areas under MOHA's state management authority. At the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang and Minister Do Thanh Binh officially signed the document.
To bring the coordination mechanism into practical effect, Minister Do Thanh Binh proposed that functional units from both sides maintain regular, timely information exchanges and appoint clear points of contact. He also emphasized the need for periodic reviews to break through bottlenecks and promptly address newly arising issues.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that under the leadership of the Party and State, the MPS and MOHA have maintained close, effective cooperation over the years, successfully fulfilling their assigned political tasks.
He noted that the signing of this regulation establishes a crucial legal foundation for both ministries to coordinate even more closely. Minister Luong Tam Quang requested that, immediately following the ceremony, the leadership of both ministries direct their functional units to translate the regulation into specific action plans and programs for rigorous, effective implementation.
To ensure rapid results, Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the MPS leadership will continue to direct public security units and local agencies to strictly honor the commitments set out in the regulation. This will establish a clear direction to ensure that partnership between the MPS and MOHA grows increasingly tight, deep, and substantively effective.
