Minister Luong Tam Quang meets with Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information

As a member of a high-ranking delegation accompanying General Secretary and President To Lam on his State visit to Singapore, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang had talks with Singaporean Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo on the afternoon of May 30 in Singapore.

During the talks, the two ministers agreed that, since their meeting in Hanoi in January 2026, the two sides have actively implemented the agreed areas of cooperation and achieved a number of practical and substantive results.

Accordingly, the two sides maintained effective mechanisms for delegation exchanges and high-level contacts to enhance the sharing of strategic perspectives, governance experience and technological application models serving national digital transformation, artificial intelligence development, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and personal data protection.

To further promote bilateral cooperation, the two sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in ensuring cybersecurity and safety in cyberspace in order to prevent cyberattacks, unauthorized intrusions and cybercrime.

They also agreed to share knowledge and technical expertise in developing large-scale data centers to support national data processing requirements.

In addition, the two sides consented to organize specialized training programs on data governance, digital infrastructure and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as training courses for experts in cybersecurity, information security and data analytics.

They also agreed to promote exchanges of delegations and technical experts to continue discussions on legal, technical, security and data protection aspects, as well as system connectivity related to cross-border data flows.

The two sides finally agreed to actively participate in and support each other’s initiatives on digital transformation, technology forums, thematic seminars and innovation competitions, including the international technology competition Data for Life and the Vietnam–Singapore Technology Connectivity Forum hosted by the Ministry of Public Security.
