Ministry of Public Security hold meeting in response to Vietnam Law Day

PSNews- The Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on November 9th in response to the Law Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Senior Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. To Lam, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Public Security attended and presided over the ceremony. 

Present at the ceremony were also Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Minister of Justice; Ms. Tran Thi Dung, Vice Chairman of the Law Committee of the National Assembly; Major General Nguyen Thanh Hong, standing member of the Defense and Security Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Tran Duc Phong, Deputy Chief of the Steering Committee for Central Judicial Reform; and representatives of the ministries, departments and related units; representatives of General Departments, Commands and units under the Ministry, departments, institutes, schools in the Northern areas of the Public Security Forces.

Shortly after the Laws on Legal Dissemination and Education was enacted and the Law Day was decided by the Government to be held annually, the Ministry of Public Security has issued plans and guidelines on the Law Day celebration across the Public Security Forces. Over last 3 years, according to preliminary statistics, the force has issued more than 300 plans and 100 documents to command and guide its subordinate agencies and units to echo the Law Day. Particularly, the ministry has held 74 meetings with the participation of thousands officers and soldiers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Minister of Justice highly valued the legal work in general, and dissemination as well aslegal education in particular within the Public Security Forces, and recognized the great effort of the Central Police Party Committee in directing and providing good conditions for its agencies and units to organize, implement and succeed in law dissemination and education across the Public Security Forces.

Every year, the Ministry of Public Security issues a number of projects and guidelines on implementation of the Law Day throughout the forces, in which clearly define the topics, contents, forms of organization and deployment of activities; assigns tasks and entrust responsibility to each unit or individual.

The Law Day celebration on November 9th is organized appropriately in various creative forms and closely linked between the law dissemination and education work, and law building, implementation and enforcement activities, contributing significantly  to implementing political, economic and social development missions, and maintaining political security, social order and safety.
