PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security held a webinar on January 3, 2023, to study Decree 93/2022/NĐ-CP dating November 7, 2022, on ensuring order and security at air border gates.

The online meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and attended by leaders of relevant agencies and units under the MPS from the hall of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) while leaders of local public security units participated in the meeting through videoconferencing.

Deputy Luong Tam Quang entrusted the Immigration Department under the MPS to carefully explain the content of Decree 93 at the meeting, focusing on the need for regulations on the area of the air border gate; methods of handling security cases at air border gates; responsibilities of the MPS as well as of other competent ministries, agencies, cities and provinces with international airports.

The department was also requested to popularize the decree to relevant agencies, units and enterprises so as to implement the decree in a synchronous and efficient manner.

It needs to coordinate with competent agencies and units to define the boundary of the air border gate and traffic signs according to the Decree. 

Meanwhile, relevant public security agencies and units should take more preventive measures and resolutely fight crimes as well as maintain order and security at airports during the lunar New Year and the spring festive season.

At the meeting, Director of the Immigration Department Major General Pham Dang Khoa explained Decree 93 to the participants while Deputy Director of the Immigration Department Senior Colonel Nguyen Ba Tuan reported on Plan 617/KH-BCA issued by the MPS on December 16, 2022, on the implementation of Decree 93.
