The conference saw the presence of Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance Le Hung Son, representatives of leaders and officers in charge of social insurance from under-ministerial agencies and local-level units under the Ministry of Public Security.
Making opening remarks, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that the conference aimed to assess the current situation of social insurance work in the Public Security Forces over the past time, as well as to discuss both strengths and weaknesses in implementing social insurance policies in the Public Security Forces, and draw up orientations for the social insurance work in the coming time.
The Deputy Minister stated that the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security always attach importance to social insurance and health insurance.
He stressed that effectively implementing social insurance and health insurance policies contributes to encouraging public security officers and soldiers to feel secure while implementing their tasks of safeguarding national security, ensuring public order and building the police force.
At the conference, the delegates listened to leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel reporting on the situation and results of social insurance, health insurance and a number of issues on personnel and organization in the Public Security Forces as well as policies on salaries and allowances, organization and staffing.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Department of Planning and Finance under the Ministry of Public Security reported on financial sources for social insurance and health insurance in the Public Security Forces.
Also at the conference, delegates from public security agencies and units discussed and shared good experiences in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies and gave recommendations to competent authorities on social insurance and health insurance.
