Mobile Police Command celebrates its 47th founding anniversary

Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), on April 13, attended the 47th founding anniversary of the Mobile Police Force (April 15, 1974 – 2021).

Over the past 47 years and under the leadership of the Party, State and the MPS, the Mobile Police Force has continuously developed and successfully fulfilled all its assigned tasked. The force has always showed its strong political will and determination to perform its tasks, while being absolutely loyal to the Party, State and people.

Regarding its functions and missions, the Mobile Police Force has participated actively in dealing with complex security and social order situations and handling critical law violations. Additionally, the force has successfully safeguarded important political targets, events and visits of Party and State leaders, as well as participating in search and rescue and natural disaster relief.

For its great achievements and contribution to protecting national security and ensuring public order and security over the past time, the Mobile Police Force has been awarded various noble honors by the Party and State while a number of mobile police subunits and officers with outstanding achievements at work were awarded the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title, “Ho Chi Minh” Orders, “Military Exploit” Orders, “Labor” Orders, “Fatherland Protection” Orders, and “Feat of Arms” Orders.

Particularly, a special task force battalion and Commander of the Mobile Police Force Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong were awarded the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title by the State President in 2020.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung spoke highly of the Mobile Police Force’ efforts and achievements over the past time.

The deputy minister suggested that the Mobile Police Command should focus on improving the quality of their task performance, while actively advising the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS to give directions on the implementation of the laws and policies to ensure security and social order, and build an elite and modern Mobile Police Force to meet the requirements of tasks in the current context.
