MPS and MoET boost coordination in implementing Government’s project 06

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on April 1 held a meeting with leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to discuss the coordination between the two ministries in implementing the project on the application of population database, e-identification and e-authentication for national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period with a vision to 2030 (Project 06).

Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son co-chaired the meeting.

After being briefed on the implementation of the project, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc applauded the efforts of all relevant units under the two ministries over the past time.

He noted that the MPS would further coordinate with the MoET to fulfil their given tasks.

Additionally, the MPS would direct the local police units to create the most favorable conditions for students to have their ID cards issued. The MPS and the Ministry of Information and Communications will be responsible for ensuring information security and safety as well as connecting education and training institutions nationwide to databases as soon as all requirements are met.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said the ministry would soon direct all provincial/municipal education departments and schools nationwide to create favorable conditions for students to have ID cards.

The MoET’s Information Technology Department will also coordinate with functional units under the MPS to provide e-identification numbers for students from preschool to grade 12.
