MPS and Nhan Dan Newspaper summarize five-year cooperation program

PSNews-The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper organized a conference to review five years of the implementation of their cooperation program to disseminate public security forces’ missions of ensuring order and security and force building in the 2012-2017 period.

On the occasion, the two sides agreed to extend the program for the next five years.

The event saw the presence of Member of the Politburo, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security; Mr. Thuan Huu, Member of the

Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; and other leaders of the two agencies.

Leaders of the MPS and Nhan Dan Newspaper signed the cooperation program on December 14, 2012, under which the newspaper was responsible for disseminating on the public security forces’ missions of maintaining order and security and force building on its publications in the 2012-2017 period.

At the conference, Minister Lam and Mr. Thuan Huu also signed a similar cooperation agreement for the next five-year period. On this occasion, Minister Lam awarded the medals “Fatherland Security Protection” and certificates of merit from the MPS to Nhan Dan Newspaper’s individuals and groups for their great contributions to the program.

Meanwhile, Mr. Thuan Huu presented medals “For the Cause of the Nhan Dan Newspaper” and the certificates of merit from the newspaper to the MPS’s individuals and units for their contributions to the newspaper over the past years.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Lam emphasized that, in the time to come, as the public security face both opportunities and challenges and increasing responsibilities in maintaining social order and safety, and protecting national security, the cooperation program between the MPS and the Nhan Dan Newspaper in the 2018-20 period is a political determination of the two sides to well implement the mission of disseminating Party’s policies in the order and security sphere.  

On the basis of the signed cooperation program, Minister To Lam expressed his belief that the MPS and Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to carry out well order and security information dissemination work on the newspaper’s publications, contributing to improving the effectiveness and quality of the task performance of the public security forces, and the newspaper’s information mission in the current revolutionary period.
