Politburo member and Minister of Public Security General To Lam and member of the Party Central Committee and President of the General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang co-chaired the signing ceremony.

Over the past 5 years of implementing Coordination Regulation No. 03 dated September 12, 2017 between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the two sides have closely coordinated with each other in protecting national security, ensuring laws and order as well as in the fight against crime and social evils at all levels, achieving many important results.

On the basis of the results of the implementation of Coordination Regulation No. 03, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ministry of Public Security agreed to sign a new coordination regulation between the two agencies in the new period, with a focus on a number of key tasks.

Overview of the event.

It includes building and replicating advanced models and examples in the emulation movement "For national security" and the movement "All people protect national security", promptly commending and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in crime prevention and control; strengthening coordination in the fight against crimes in the fields of labor and trade unions; preventing workers and laborers from social evils; ensuring security and safety of trade union agencies at all levels, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam affirmed that the signing of a new coordination regulation between the two agencies will create an important legal basis for the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to coordinate more effective in the coming time, especially in drafting policies and laws and improving the prestige and position of the People's Public Security Forces and the Vietnam Trade Union.

The regulation also aims to support the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and its affiliates to successfully apply population data, electronic identification, electronic authentication to its digital transformation.
