MPS and Vietnam General Confederation of Labour sign coordination regulations

PSNews - This document will replace other old documents regarding coordination in security and order between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. 

The Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held a ceremony on September 12 to sign a set of coordination regulations in ensuring social order and security, and present medals “For National Security” and “ For Career of Building Trade Union” to outstanding individuals and groups.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and Mr. Bui Van Cuong, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) co-chaired the event.

At the signing ceremony, Minister To Lam and VGCL President Bui Van Cuong signed the coordination regulations, based on which leaders the two organizations will instruct their affiliates to promote their coordination in activities of ensuring security and order.

The set of coordination regulations includes 7 core sections articulating the responsibility and coordination of the two sides in implementing their assignments under the law.

This document will replace other old documents regarding coordination in security and order between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam and VGCL President Bui Van Cuong agreed on the good outcomes of the coordination between the two sides over the past years. The two sides coordinated with each other closely in preventing crimes as well as in building a clean and strong trade union organization.

Relevant agencies of the two sides actively exchanged information about national security, social order as well as issues related to trade union organizations and trade union members across the country; and consulted each other on effective measures to prevent drug related crimes and other social problems in trade union organizations.

Minister To Lam emphasized that the achievements of the coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in the past years have contributed much to maintaining political stability and ensuring national security as well as social order, and facilitaing socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

In the coming time, the two sides will popularize the coordination regulations to public security units and trade union organizations, and will build up good examples in business, production and other activities.

On this occasion, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security presented “For National Security” Medal to 13 typical trade union members of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for their large contributions to ensuring political security and social order and safety.

Meanwhile, VGCL leaders also awarded “For the Cause of Trade Union” Medal to 14 police officers of the Ministry of Public Security for great contributions to developing the Vietnam Trade Union.
