PSNews – Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen on April chaired a conference to discuss ways to speed up the release of investment capital for public projects in 2023 of police units in Central region and Central Highlands.

The event saw representatives from police departments of 20 provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan, along with other functional units under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), including the Department of Planning and Finance, Department of Construction and Barrack Management.

At the meeting, leaders of relevant units and agencies discussed the difficulties and the causes of the slow disbursement of capital for public investment  projects as well as proposed solutions to those problems.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen stressed that the MPS is implementing the Government's direction on speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital to contribute to socio-economic recovery and development. MPS leaderships also determines it as a key task of the Public Security Forces in 2023 and a key criterion for local police units’ task accomplishment.

He then asked the police units in the Central region and Central Highlands to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital. The local police units should consider it as an important political task to be completed in 2023. The police units should review their assigned investment projects while ensuring quality and progress of the investment projects.

The MPS leader also requested functional units to strengthen inspection and give guidance on public investment disbursement while coooperating with local units to complete investment documents and procedures.
