On July 2024, heavy rains, landslides, and floods continuously occurred in the Northern region, causing great casualty and damage to local people’s property.

Being reported on the situation, Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang had directed relevant under-ministerial departments and provincial police departments to urgently build new houses for the households who had lost their homes in the recent disaster.

Accordingly, the Office of MPS has coordinated with police departments of the affected provinces to receive and allocate support resources, and build new houses for the affected in the shortest time, following the model of the MPS, to help them stabilize their lives.

According to the plan, 188 new houses will be built in 10 Northern mountainous provinces.

In Thai Nguyen province, the MPS Office and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department had reviewed the situation and decided to build two new houses for Mr. Tran Van Them in Lam Vy commune and Mr. Nguyen Minh Ly in Quy Ky commune in Dinh Hoa district whose houses had totally been destroyed by the natural disaster..

Based on the model house of MPS, the two houses, with three rooms each, will be built on an area of about 36m2, and scheduled to complete by the end of August.

Deputy Chief of the MPS Office Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Nguyen requested leaders of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police Department to direct relevant units to speed up the construction progress while ensuring the quality of the houses, contributing to helping the two families stabilize their lives, developing local socio-economy as well as ensuring security and order in the province.
