MPS congratulates Laos on 42nd National Day

PSNews - A delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security on November 28 visited and congratulated the Lao Embassy in Vietnam on the 42nd National Day of Laos (December 2, 1975-2017).

The Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane and the Embassy’s staff welcomed the delegation.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh congratulated the achievements that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Lao people have attained in recent years.

He also said that, in recently years, the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries in general and between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Public Security in particular have been strengthened and expanded with many important results.

The Vietnamese Public Security Forces and the Laos Public Security Forces have cooperated closely and effectively in preventing and fighting crime as well as in protecting national security, social order and safety of each country, which has positively contributed to promoting the traditional good relations, the special solidarity between the two Parties, the two States and peoples of the two countries.

The Laos Ambassador to Vietnam Thongsavanh Phomvihane sincerely thanked that good sentiment of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. He also said that the Party, the State and people of Laos received the special assistance from the Party, State and people of Vietnam, including the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, during Lao's past struggle for national liberation and now continue receiving valuable assistance from Vietnam for the country’s current national building and defense cause.

Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihance vowed that the Lao Embassy in Vietnam will continue to do its utmost to strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in general, and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and its Lao counterpart in particular.
