The meeting saw the presence of all members of the Public Security Central Party Committee, as well as leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), and representatives of under-ministerial units.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General To An Xo briefed the minister and delegates on the work of COVID-19 pandemic control, stating that over the past time, the MPS has directed the entire Public Security Forces to implement synchronous creative measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Since the breakout of the pandemic, all public security agencies and units have mobilized their officers and soldiers to participate in the fight against the pandemic. The Public Security Forces have engaged in all stages of COVID-19 prevention and control such as tracing COVID-19 suspects; guarding quarantine centers, isolated zones and medical checkpoints; supporting vaccination and COVID-19 treatment.

The Public Security Forces also focused on controlling illegal entry and exit activities and maintaining social order and safety to contributing to the implementation of national "dual objectives".

Delegates attending the meeting on August 19. 

Especially, the public security medical force participated actively and effectively in COVID prevention, control and treatment. Hundreds of medical workers from the 19-8 Hospital and the Public Security Traditional Medicine Hospital were sent to Bac Giang city, a COVID-19 hotbed to run field hospital and treat COVID-19 patients while Hospital 199 is playing a key role in testing and treating COVID-19 patients in Da Nang city. 

In the coming time, the public security medical sector will continue to reinforce public security medical doctors and nurses to the Southern provinces to fight the pandemic.

At the meeting, the delegates discussed the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and proposed a number of key tasks and solutions for pandemic prevention and control in the coming time.
