MPS holds conference on national values, cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards

PSNews - The Public Security Party Central Committee and the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education co-organized a scientific conference entitled “Public Security Forces’ role in the implementation of systems of national values, cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards in the new period” in Hanoi.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To Assoc. Prof., Dr., and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Dinh Thi Mai co-chaired the conference.

Delivering her opening speech, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Dinh Thi Mai stressed the need to further discuss approaches to foster and perfect Public Security Forces’ culture with sacred, noble, and rich values, as well as to develop their working culture, communication culture and decent behavior in each public security agency or unit nationwide.

The Central Commission for Communication and Education’s Deputy Head also underlined the need to clearly define the responsibility of each public security officer and unit as well as resolutely and uncompromisingly fight against all types of crime and law violations, while transforming cultural values into endogenous strength so as to successfully implement Resolution No. 12 issued by the Politburo.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To affirmed that the conference clearly determined the position, role and great significance of the set of values of the Public Security Forces, stressing the urgent need to continue studying, defining and implementing sets of national values, cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards, while pointing out remaining shortcomings and limitations in performing those systems in the Public Security Forces.

Regarding key tasks in the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested all public security officers to improve their understanding of the concepts, dialectical relationships and significance of sets of national values, cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards in the new period, so as to widely strongly promote and exercise them in public security units and agencies as well as in civilian communities, facilitating the country’s industrialization, modernization and international integration.

The Deputy Minister also asked all public security units and agencies to develop Public Security Forces’ culture as a foundation to realize those sets of values in line with their specific characteristics, functions and tasks as well as link the realization of the sets of values with the building of truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet task requirement in the new situation.
