MPS holds special art program in celebration of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day

PSNews - On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27th, 1947 – 2024), the Ministry of Public Security organized a special art program titled “Keeping the Oath - Connecting the Rivers” at the historical and cultural relic area of the Security Office of the Central Bureau for South Vietnam, on the evening of July 27th, in Tay Ninh.

The art program was attended by Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung and Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam.

The art program included many performances of many genres such as music, plays and documentaries, which were organized into 3 chapters, namely Chapter 1 - “The River of Aspirations”, Chapter 2 - “The River of Fire and Flowers” and Chapter 3 - “The River of Desire”.

Speaking at the program, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the “Keeping the Oath - Connecting the Rivers” art program, which took place on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the War Invalid and Martyrs’ Day, demonstrated the good national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, as well as promoted patriotism and national pride among public security officers, raise the spirit of self-sacrifice of each officer or enlistee and foster the heroic revolutionary tradition of the Public Security Forces.

On this occasion, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security also presented gifts to families of martyrs, wounded and sick veterans and policy beneficiaries in the province in the hope of returning gratitude to generations of senior officers of the former Security Office of the Central Bureau for South Vietnam for their great contributions to the national revolutionary cause.
