MPS hosts meeting on security and health plans for 4th P4G Summit

PSNews - Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, who is a member of the P4G Summit Organizing Committee, Head of the P4G Security – Health Subcommittee and Head of the P4G Security and Order Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, chaired a meeting on security and health plans for the upcoming P4G Summit, on the afternoon of April 10, in Hanoi.

The meeting was attended by leaders of agencies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction and the Hanoi People's Committee as members of the Security - Health Subcommittee as well as leaders of the public security units and agencies as members of the P4G Security and Order Subcommittee of the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the Head of the P4G Security – Health Subcommittee emphasized that the meeting aimed to officially announce a decision by the Head of the Organizing Committee of the P4G Conference on the establishment of the P4G Security - Health Subcommittee, as well as a decision by the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the P4G Security and Order Subcommittee of the Ministry of Public Security.

It also aimed to accurately assess the order and security situation and possibilities of health risks, and review the work of the Security-Health Subcommittee.

On that basis, the Security-Health Subcommittee discussed specific, practical and feasible solutions to ensure security and health for the P4G Summit so as to avoid any disadvantage, surprise or even the smallest mistake.

At the meeting, after the Standing Office of the Security-Health Subcommittee presented a report on the security and health plans for the P4G Summit and major tasks from now until the end of the conference, under the chair of the Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, Standing Deputy Head of the Security-Health Subcommittee, delegates discussed security and health-related issues, the security and health plans, pointed out possible difficulties in performing tasks, and proposed specific measures to ensure security and prevent health-related issues from now until the end of the P4G conference.

Concluding the meeting, the Head of the Security-Health Subcommittee requested all members of the P4G Security – Health Committee and the P4G Security and Order Subcommittee of the Ministry of Public Security to be fully aware of the importance of ensuring security and preventing health issues for the P4G Summit, as well as to effectively implement their assignments articulated in the security and health plans and directives of the Head of the P4G Conference Organizing Committee and the P4G Security-Health Subcommittee.

According to him, the participating forces of the Ministry of Public Security are all prepared, and they will uphold a strong sense of responsibility, make all-out effort and resolve to ensure absolute security and safety for the upcoming P4G Summit, contributing to raising the position and role of Vietnam in the international arena and attracting more international resources for national development and response to climate change.
