MPS plans to enroll some 3,000 students in public security schools in 2020

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on February 28 held a meeting to roll out a plan to enroll students in all schools of the Public Security Forces in 2020. Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. In 2019, the MPS assigned all public security schools to enroll 48,362 students for training, down by 6,207 compared to 2018. The public security educational institutions are planned to admit 3,300 cadets in 2020, including 3,000 at the university level and 300 at the higher-education level.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the results of the new student enrollment and refresher training of all public security schools for the Public Security Forces over the past time.

He emphasized that the public security agencies and units at all levels should participate actively in school enrollment and refresher training so as to develop a corps of officers with good professional expertise for the whole forces, meeting the requirements of the task of ensuring safety and order in the current context.

He noted that the entire admission process, particularly at the first phase of selection, must be conducted properly so that all candidates must meet the standards for health, morality, political stance and so on.
