At the meeting, leaders of police departments of provincies and their traffic police offices reviewed the traffic situation in southern provinces and cities and gave measures to enhance traffic safety in the localities. 

The Traffic Police Office under the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department reported on the work results of anti-racing traffic police teams over the past time, discussing approaches to improve the efficiency of such a task-force police team. 

According to the report, it is necessary for local police units to have a measure to take a close watch on motor repairing workshops and secret bands of illegal motor race organizers so as to stop illegal motor races from the very beginning.

Speaking at the briefing, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the active involvement of the local police units in ensuring traffic order and safety as well as in implementing the instructions of the Minister of Public Security and Directive No. 10/CT-TTg issued on April 19, 2023 by the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic safety.

In order to reduce traffic accidents, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long suggested that the local police forces should check traffic infrastructural systems, locate each black spot or each defect in the traffic system and study specular traffic characteristics of residents and vehicles in their managed locality in order to draw up appropriate plan to ensure traffic order and safety.
