Both subcommittees are headed by Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang.

At the meeting, the delegates listened to reports on the task performance results over the past time and discussed orientations for the time to come.

The Second National Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam in 2020 is an important event. It aims at praising teams and individuals of ethnic minorities in Vietnam for their outstanding achievements and great contributions to national development and international integration in the period of 2009 - 2019, as well as those who have contributed positively to poverty reduction and the building of new-styled rural model. The Congress serves as an occasion to display the consensus and trust of ethnic minority people in the leadership of the Party.

To conclude the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested standing members of the Subcommittees to supervise and check relevant public security units and agencies’ implementation of the working plans and directions from Ministry of Public Security on ensuring security for the Congress. Public security agencies and local police units should put on the special alert against sabotage activities by hostile forces.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also proposed the Ministry of Health to take measures to ensure good healthcare, food hygiene and safety for delegates, particularly measures to prevent COVID-19 during the Congress.
