PSNews – The Department of Internal Political Security under the Ministry of Public Security recently opened a refresher course for its police officers.

Overview of the event.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang.

The training course, took place from April 8-10, was attended by 400 police officers of the internal political security force nationwide.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang stated the complicated and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, and underlined that the tasks of protecting national security and internal political security.

Therefore, the force needs to be deeply aware that the protection of internal politics is closely linked with and helps improve the building and rectification of the Party and the political system.

He asked the trainees to proactively discuss and exchange ideas on the situation of internal political security. He also urged the trainees to propose useful solutions to firmly ensure security in strategic areas and prevent terrorist plots and activities.

Within the training course, the trainers lecture a number of topics regarding domestic security and put forth hard issues on internal security work for the trainees to work out advice to senior leaders and propose approaches to maintain political security at grassroots levels.
