Nghe An police officers voluntarily donate blood

PSNews – The Nghe An Police Division for Administrative Management of Social Order on July 17 held a blood donation drive to support the Center of Hematology and Blood Transfusion of Nghe An Province.

Due to the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion of Nghe An Province saw a serious shortage of blood for medical treatment.

Recognizing the situation, the Nghe An Police Division for Administrative Management of Social Order launched a blood donation drive themed “One drop of blood is donated, a life could be saved” to ease the shortage.

The event drew the participation of 100 local police officers and soldiers. After the event, 90 blood units were collected.

To follow the regulations on prevention of COVID-19, all participants were checked their body temperature and requested to wear facemasks and wash their hands before donating their blood.

The blood donation drive also aimed to educate the local police forces about the meaning and importance of the blood donation, and spread this humane activity in the community.
