Officers and students of People's Police School 5 active in donating blood

PSNews - 700 volunteers from People's Police School 5 on January 7th attended a blood donation festival themed "Voluntary blood for society".

Junior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Chien, Vice Secretary of the School Youth Union organization said, the Youth Union has collaborated with the ThanhBinh District Red Cross to organize this event in order to raise the solidarity and "one for all" spirit  among officers and students of People's Police School 5.

Since 2012, People's Police School 5's Party Committee and Board of Directors have directed the School Youth Union to coordinate with the local Red Cross to hold 5 blood donation drives, each of which attracted more than 600 volunteers, including officers and students, andcollectedhundreds ofblood units.

The blood donation is a meaningful activity as the donated blood will be used by hospitals to cure and savepatients’ lives.

In recognition of the School’s contribution tovoluntary blood donation movements, the Chairman of ThangBinh District People's Committee awarded a Certificates of Merit to the School Youth Union organization and 5 individuals.
