Police in Ho Chi Minh City compete in sports and martial arts

PSNews – A contest on police line-up regulations, martial arts and sports was held by the Ho Chi Minh Municipal (HCMC) Police Department on August 8-17 for local police officers and soldiers.

According to Major General Le Hong Nam, Director of the HCMC Police Department, the event aimed to improve the physical and mental strength of local officers as well as check local police subunits’ training of martial arts and police lineup regulations.

The event also encouraged police officers keep fit and particpate in physical training and sport movements so as to become healthy to better perform their tasks.

It was an event of the local police force in response to the “All people do physical exercise following Uncle Ho’s example” movement launched in the Public Security Forces in the period of 2021-2030.

The contest drew the participation of over 1,000 police officers and soldiers from subordinated units under the HCMC Police Department, who competed with each other in various categories.
