Prime Minister appoints Commander of Mobile Police

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 31 to announce the decisions of the State President, Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security on personnel work in the High Command of Mobile Police.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee , Deputy Minister of Public Security hosted the ceremony.

Present at the ceremony were also Lieutenant General Do Duc Kinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of  the Mobile Police, Political Commissar of the Mobile Police; Major General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces; leaders and former leader of the High Command of Mobile Police; representatives of functional units under the Ministry, the General Departments and the High Commands.

Major General Nguyen Van Son announced the decision of State President to award the Fatherland Protection Order of 2nd class to Major General Pham QuocCuong, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police and the decision of Prime Minister to appoint Major General Pham Quoc Cuong as Commander of the Mobile Police.

At the ceremony the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on promotion, rise in salary and retirement was also announced to Major General Tran Quang Hoa, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police.

Authorized by the Party and State and on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Gen. Vuong handed the decisions to involved officers. Deputy Minister Le QuyVuong warmly congratulated Mr. Pham Quoc Cuong and the Mobile Police Force on the award and promotion.

Deputy Minister praised the High Command of Mobile Police for its good and timely advice to the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on various important strategic issues; reached many outstanding achievements, contributing to maintaining national security as well as social order and safety, and promoting socio-economic development and external affairs of the country over the past time. The force has deserved to be the title "iron fist" of the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Le QuyVuong suggested, as a commander of the Mobile Police, Major General Pham Quoc Cuong should always improve and continuously bring into full play his experience and expertise and acquire more knowledge to meet the requirements of the new post and successfully fulfilled his assigned tasks, deserving the trust of the Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security.

He also emphasized that the Mobile Police Force should focus on Party building and rectification; prevent signs and phenomena of "self-evolution" and"self-transform"; strictly comply with the leadership principle "democratic centralism", "collective leadership with individual responsibility"; and step up unity under the leadership of the force’s Political Commissarto build a clean and strong unit.

The leadership was asked to continue directing mobile police units to maintain national security and order; to focuse on personnel training; and always be ready to take and accomplish all tasks.The leadership should also strictly maintain the disciplines, working regulations, working processes; conduct effectively political and ideological education for all troops; and provide consultancy to the ministry, well carry out research on and finish the Project “To modernize the Mobile Force by 2025 with a vision toward 2030 and operations of the force in the new context.”

Expressing honor receiving the decision on appointment from Prime Minister and being awarded the Fatherland Defense Order by the President, Commander Pham Quoc Cuong extended his warmest thank to the Central Public Security Party Committee,  the Ministry of Public Security; as well as the Party Committee, High Command of Mobile Police that had effectively supported him to successfully complete his tasks over the past time.

He also vowed to seriously follow the Deputy Minister’s instructions and directions; uphold the spirit of unity and consensus among the force; overcome difficulties and challenges; leadand commandthe mobile police force to successfully fulfill all the tasks that the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security and the people entrusted.
