Project 375 brings fruitful results in Thanh Hoa

PSNews - The Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on September 12 held a conference to review the 10-years  implementation of Project 375 and Directive No.10 on "Building residential areas of good security and order" (2008-2018). Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event. 

During the 10-year implementation of Project 375 and Directive No.10, Party committees at all levels of Thanh Hoa province united the comprehensive strength of the whole local political system as well as mobilized people from all walks of life to participate in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, contributing to successfully completing the province’s socio-economic development objectives and consolidating defense and security across the province.

Over the past 10 years, the local security guard forces have detected and handled 27,782 cases related to security and order; completed dossiers  and submitted them to the relevant agencies nearly 18,000 cases; and collaborated closely with local organizations and families educated more than 7,000 offenders to reintegrate into community.

Many security and order self-managed models in residential areas, which have brought remarkable results, contributing to ensuring security and order in localities of the province, are being replicated nationwide.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security praised the good results of Thanh Hoa province’s implementation of Project 375 and Directive No.10, and saying that  these important results helped raise the sense of awareness and responsibility the local Party committees, local authorities and people in ensuring security and order, as well as promote the comprehensive strength of the whole political system in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.

Based on the results in Thanh Hoa province, the Ministry of Public Security has also introduced Thanh Hoa’s models and implementation of the project "Building residential areas of good security and order" to localities throughout the country so that they can learn lessons and replicate the models. It is also the important basis for the Ministry of Public Security to promulgate a circular on building residential areas, communes, wards, townships and enterprises of good security and order.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son stressed that, in the coming time, the Thanh Hoa Police Force should assess comprehensively and accurately the gains and limitations of the implementation so as to advise local police forces and authorities on solutions to the weaknesses.

The Deputy Minister also agreed on 6 missions that had been determined by the Steering Committee on building residential areas of good security and order of Thanh Hoa province, and asked the provincial police force to launch intensive attacks on crimes of all kinds. According to him, the good results of crime prevention and fight would support the movement "All people protecting national security."

At the conference, the organizers also handed Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to 15 organizations and 15 individuals, and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to 45 organizations and 64 individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the project "Building residential areas of good security and order."
