Project of “most expensive on earth” road in Hanoi to be started soon

PSNews - The project of ring road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc (phase 1), with more than 2.2 km in length, and costing more than 7,200 billion VND, is considered the “record cost” road due to a huge amount of money for land clearance (more than 5,800 billion VND).

The Municipal People’s Committee of Hanoi has just approved phase 1 of the project of ring road 1, connecting Hoang Cau and Voi Phuc, which is managed by the Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Projects of Hanoi.

The total investment for phase 1 of the project is over 7,200 billion VND, of which the cost for construction only accounts for 628 billion VND, while the land clearance mounts to 5,800 billion VND.

As many as 2,328 households, including 808 ones in Dong Da, 1,520 in Ba Dinh, will be affected by the project. The municipal authorities are preparing 2,239 apartments for relocation of the affected households.
