Public security forces requested to strengthen internal political security

PSNews - The Public Security Central Party Committee organized a meeting to review the 10-year implementation of Directive No. 39-CT/TW on strengthening the protection of internal political security in the public security Party organization and the entire Public Security Forces in the current situation, issued on August 18, 2014 by the Politburo, on the morning of May 28, in Hanoi.

Delivering opening speech, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highlighted that the Party’s leaders had always attached great importance to the work of internal political security, promulgating several directives and guiding documents on this work over the past time.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked delegates to evaluate and analyze in-depth both achievements and shortcomings as well as advantages and difficulties in implementing Directive No. 39-CT/TW, and give solutions and recommendations to effectively implement the work of ensuring internal political security in the coming time.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, delegates stressed the need to strengthen the protection of State secrets,  the fight against corruption and negative among cadres and Party members in couple with internal political security in the current context.

Delegates also underscored the importance of inspecting and supervising the application and execution of Party building regulations, contributing to building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet the task requirements in the current situation.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To underlined that the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security requested all public security Party committees, agencies and units to recognize the protection of internal political security as an important task in building the Party and political system, including the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To asked the Public Security Forces to grasp and precisely forecast the situation, to give timely advice to the Party and State to complete a legal corridor and set of policies on internal political security, contributing to proactively preventing, detecting and effectively fighting against signs of degradation of political ideology, ethics and lifestyle as well as demonstrations of “self-evolution”, and “self-transformation”.

The Public Security Forces also requested to prevent and fight  sabotage activities by hostile forces in cyberspace, absolutely deny hostile and reactionary forces from making use of cyberspace to carry out sabotage activities against the Party, the State in general and undermine internal politics in particular.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To finally requested relevant police agencies to effectively combat corruption and negativity as well as quickly and thoroughly investigate and handle serious and complex corruption and economic wrongdoing cases in line with the motto “No restricted areas, no exceptions” in the fight against corruption.
