Public Security Forces strive to successfully complete all tasks in 2022

General To Lam, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security, presided over a meeting with representatives from all agencies under the Ministry of Public Security and provincial-level police departments on the occasion of Traditional New Year on February 7.

Minister To Lam wished good health, happiness and success to all officers and soldiers of the Public Security Forces and their families on the occasion of Tet – Traditional Lunar New Year, and affirmed that the Public Security Forces will successfully fulfil all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people in 2022.

Lieutenant General To An Xo, Head of the MPS Office, briefed Minister To Lam and other delegates on security and order situations in localities during the Tet. Notably, police forces nationwide investigated 191 cases and arrested 279 criminals as well as 181 drugs dealers or users, over 2,700 gamblers, seized some 850 kg of firecrackers of all kinds, as well as 312 guns, 9,826 bullets, 26 grenades and some rudimentary weapons and combat gears.

Thanks to traffic police’s efforts, the numbers of accidents and casualties were controlled.

Speaking on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leadership of the MPS, Minister To Lam applauded and recognized the efforts of all public officers and soldiers in overcoming difficulties and fulfilling their duties over the past time, especially during the Tet.

He also highlighted key tasks for the Public Security Forces to do in the coming time, stressing that all the forces should strictly follow the guidance and direction of the Party Central Committee, the Government and the MPS to make breakthroughs in performing tasks in 2022.
