Public Security Forces urged to ensure political stability for national socio-economic development

PSNews - General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that the Central Party Committee of Public Security is one of the exemplary ministerial-level Party Committees taking the lead in implementing the Sixth and Seventh Meetings' resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress. 

The Standing Commission of the Central Party Committee of Public Security on June 26 held a conference to review the Public Security Forces’ implementation of the task of ensuring national security, social order and safety in the first 6 months of 2018 and roll out missions for the second half; review the implementation of Resolution No.18-NQ/TW issued on October 25th 2017 by the Sixth Meeting of the 12th Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) on further renovating and streamlining the political apparatus for more efficiency and effectiveness, and  Resolution No.22-NQ/TW issued on March 15th 2018 by the Politburo on  renovating and streamlining the Ministry of Public Security apparatus for more efficiency and effectiveness.

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Member of the Standing Commission of the Central Party Committee of Public Security; State President Tran Dai Quang, Member of the Standing Commission of the Central Party Committee of Public Security; Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Member of the Standing Commission of the Central Party Committee of Public Security attended the event.

At the conference, delegates highlighted the achievements as well as the shortcomings of the Public Security Forces in implementing their tasks in the first half of 2018. They also discussed the tasks of ensuring security and order for the last 6 months of 2018 and on the draft report on the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ / TW and Resolution No. 22-NQ / TW of the Politburo.

Speaking at the conference, General Secretary  Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the efforts of the Public Security Forces in fulfilling the tasks of ensuring national security and order.

The leaders of the Party and State affirmed that the Public Security Forces have achieved comprehensive results in all working aspects, successfully fulfilling their assigned tasks. Particularly, the forces maintained national security and created positive changes in social order and safety, contributing to maintaining political stability, creating a stable, secured, safe and healthy environment for socio-economic development and the country's expansion of external relations.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed that, in addition to the task of ensuring national security and social order and safety, the Central Party Committee of Public Security is one of the exemplary Party Committee taking the lead in implementing the Sixth and Seventh Meetings' resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress. The Central Party Committee of Public Security has first studied, developed and implemented Project 106 to further renovate and streamline the Ministry of Public Security’s apparatus for more efficiency and effectiveness in a scientific, careful and objective way, and initially achieved positive and important results.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong urged the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security to continue to effectively direct their subordinate agencies and units to effectively implement Project 106 in the coming time while ensuring national security and social order and safety.
