Public security schools need to renovate training and enrollment to meet task requirements

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security held a conference to review the public security school enrollment work in 2023 and roll out the 2024 enrollment program in the People's Public Security, on March 7, 2024, in Hanoi.

The conference was held online connecting delegates from the Main Hall of the Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi to those from the Southern  Affiliate of the People's Security University and provincial-level police departments across the country.

During the meeting, delegates evaluated the results of the enrollment work of all public security universities, colleges and schools in 2023, pointed out limitations, and discussed solutions to the issues.

Delegates underscored that most of public security universities and colleges had not met the targets of enrolling candidates for doctoral, master and part-time university level training courses while only a small number of high-qualified human resources, especially technicians and IT engineers, had been recruited for the Public Security Forces over the past year.

Delegates also discussed conditions and standards for recruitment of civilians for the Public Security Forces, saying that it is needed to have incentives to attract more high-quality human resources for the Public Security Forces while attaching importance to selecting civilians with good virtues and political awareness.

To improve the quality and effectiveness of education, training and recruitment to meet the task requirements of the People's Public Security Forces in the current situation, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested that relevant public security agencies and units, particularly public security schools of all kinds; thoroughly grasp and seriously implement policies of the Party and the Government, instructions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training in the People's Public Security Forces in accordance with the roadmap of the national education system and the new organizational structure of the Public Security Forces.
