Public security units sign coordination regulation on fire prevention and fighting and rescue

PSNews – The Department of Foreign Relations and the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue recently signed a coordination regulation between the two sides.

Expanding international cooperation is considered as one of important approaches to improve Vietnam’s fire prevention and fighting and rescue capabilities as the Vietnamese fire police force can receive advanced firefighting and rescue technologies, good experience and facilities from other countries and international organizations via international cooperation.

Over the past years, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has pursued a policy to expand cooperation with other countries around the world, especially in the field of fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

Yet, there is large potential for cooperation between the Vietnamese firefighting sector with its international partners.

From that fact, the Department of Foreign Relations and the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue signed the coordination regulation to tap the cooperation potential in fire prevention and fighting and rescue.

The deal also requires the two sides to coordinate with each other in advising the Ministry of Public Security to issue policies on international cooperation in the field of fire prevention and rescue, and effectively implement international cooperation projects on fire prevention and fighting and rescue.
