Religious dignitaries visit Ministry of Public Security

PSNews - A delegation of the Central Union of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha led by Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, and a delegation of the Northern branch of the Vietnam Evangelical Church led by President of the branch Pastor Bui Van San in January paid a Tet visit to the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang welcomed the two delegations.

At the meeting, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and Pastor Bui Van San thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the entire People's Public Security Forces for their great support and care for the religious community, as well as expressed their appreciation for the outstanding work results achieved by the People's Public Security Forces in 2022, saying that the forces had created favorable conditions for religious sects to carry out activities safely.

On this occasion, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and Pastor Bui Van San wished leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces a prosperous new year, and big success in performing their tasks of ensuring security and order in the country.

On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang thanked the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Northern branch of the Vietnam Evangelical Church for their visits and thoughtfulness of the entire People's Public Security Forces.

He also extended best wishes and happy New Year to all Vietnamese monks, nuns and followers of the Evangelical Church and Buddhist Sangha.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the People's Public Security Forces’ achievements in the past time have been contributed significantly by the religious community, and hoped that religions continue to unite with the nation to implement the guidelines and policies of the Party and the laws of the State, contributing to the national development and defense.
