Representatives of foreign diplomatic corps in Vietnam visit Public Security Forces’ historical site

Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and representatives of foreign law enforcement agencies in Vietnam paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs of the Public Security Forces on August 1 at the Historical Site of the former Central Public Security Headquarters, in Minh Thanh commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.

At the Historical Site, the delegation also visited the Public Security Museum and the memorial houses, where officers of the former Central Public Security lived and worked from April 1947 to September 1950. The delegates also planted souvenir trees in the compounds of the Historical Site.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi affirmed that the trip was a meaningful activity in celebration the 75th Public Security Forces’ founding anniversary and the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day.

The trip also aimed at further tightening the relations between the law enforcement agencies of Vietnam and foreign partners as well as strengthening mutual understanding between the MPS’s foreign affairs agency, Vietnamese people and the representative offices of foreign law enforcement agencies in Vietnam.

He hoped that the representative offices of the foreign law enforcement agencies in Vietnam will further support Vietnam's law enforcement forces to execute their tasks in the spirit of solidarity and friendship for the sake of peace, stability, and progress.

Mr. Jeong Woo Jin, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam on behalf of the foreign delegates affirmed that he understood more about the indomitable will of the Vietnamese people in their war for their national independence via the trip. He also learnt the history of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces, which was established by President Ho Chi Minh.

He spoke highly of the achievements obtained by the Vietnamese People's Public Security Forces in protecting the fruits of the revolutionary cause and national security of Vietnam in different periods, contributing greatly to the country’s development and international integration.

* On the same day, the delegation visited the Historical Site of Tan Trao temple and banyan tree. They also visited the house of revolution contributor Hoang Tien Su in Tan Lap village, where President Ho Chi Minh lived for a week before moving to Na Nua, and home of Mr. Hoang Trung Dan, where General Vo Nguyen Giap stayed for some time.
