Reputable individuals of ethnic minorities in NinhThuan praised

PSNews – Senior Colonel Thung Van Nhiem, Vice Director of the Department of Homeland Security, on October 31 received a delegation of reputable persons of ethnic minorities from Ninh Thuan province.

At the meeting, Pi Nang Thi Thuy, Head of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities of Ninh Thuan, briefed participants on the implementation of policies for reputable ethnic minority persons in Ninh Thuan. 

She added that reputable individuals in ethnic minority groups had been playing an important role in promoting the patriotic emulation movements and mobilizing ethnic minorities to follow the Party's guidelines as well as the State's policies and laws. 

They also joined competent agencies in solving complicated cases or disputes and conflicts within the ethnic minority groups, and fighting against illegal religious activities and settling local people.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Thung Van Nghiem extended regards from Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam to the delegation as well as his congratulations on the achievements of the reputable ethnic people in Ninh Thuan in recent years.

He said that the reputable ethnic people had set a bright example in production and business as well as in the movements to protect security, order and fight distorted information of hostile forces and illegal religious activities. 

According to the official, the reputable persons also made contributions to addressing illegal immigration, prevention and fight against drug crimes, and participated in reducing local poverty and improving material and spiritual lives of local people, and preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.

He added that the Public Security Forces are always willing to take more care and build close connections with ethnic minority people as well as want them to join common effort to maintain political security, build a good and stable life for all people.

He also hoped to receive more supports from ethnic minority people in Ninh Thuan province to better accomplish their assigned tasks. He also wished that the delegation would achieve great success during their trip.
