RoK navy ship visits Da Nang

ROKS Moon Mu The Great, a Republic of Korea (RoK) navy destroyer with 302 officers and crewmembers on board, docked at Tien Sa Port on September 11, beginning a four-day visit to the central city of Da Nang from September 11-14.
Present at the welcoming ceremony for the navy destroyer were representatives of the Navy Zone 3 High Command, the Ministry of National Defence, the Da Nang municipal Department of External Relations, the municipal Border Guard Command, and the Da Nang Military Command, along with RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Do-hyun, Colonel Ryou Jae-Guen, the RoK defense attaché, and representatives of the RoK community in Da Nang.

During their four-day stay in Da Nang, Korean officers and sailors will pay courtesy calls to the leaders of Da Nang city People’s Committee and the High Command of the Naval Zone 3 and visit tourist attractions in the central city.

Before leaving Tien Sa port, ROKS Moon Mu The Great will conduct a joint team formation and communication exercise with the Vietnamese Navy.

This is the second time the RoK naval ship has docked at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang and carried out exchange activities to strengthen ties between the two countries’ naval forces.
