At the meeting, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department Major General Le Hong Nam stated, Vietnam and Thailand are two countries of the ASEAN bloc with many similarities in culture, which have a strategic partnership, comprehensive cooperation and friendly relations.
The two countries have established diplomatic relations for 47 years and a strategic partnership for10 years.
In 2022, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department was honored to welcome two delegations of the Royal Thai Police.
At the meeting, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department introduced the characteristics of culture and people in Ho Chi Minh City to the guests.
The two sides also exchanged a number of issues of mutual concern, and the host shared with the guest information about the situation of Thai citizens living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, the security and order situation in the city, especially the experience in fighting high-tech crime, cyber fraud.
Sincerely thanking the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department for the meeting, General Roy Inkapairoj wished the bilaterla cooperation and good relationship between the Royal Thai Police and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department would continue to develop.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Police also invited leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department to Thailand, and hoped that more Vietnamese people will visit his country.
More than 700 Thai nationals are living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, and most of them seriously observe the Vietnamese laws.
In the first six months of 2023, more than 56,000 visitors of Thai nationality arrived in Ho Chi Minh City.
