Security camera comes to midland villages

PSNews – Thanks to the security camera system, the Nam Phuoc Town Police and the Political-Civil Committee of the residential area of Long Xuyen 3(Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) have promptly detected and handled burglaries and fights in the area.

The residential area of Long Xuyen 3 is located 2km away from the maid road of Nam Phuoc town with many small alleys. Therefore, burglaries and robberies often happened in the local villages which caused worry and anxiety to local people.

After the Nam Phuoc Town Police launched a movement to build models to control local security and order, the Political-Civil Committee of the residential area of Long Xuyen 3 decided to install security cameras to monitor the area.

Under the permission of the local authority along with the support from the local people, organizations and businesses, Long Xuyen 3 area bought and installed 13 security cameras costing 40 million VND at local intersections and in valleys.

The camera system is connected to a computer at the Nam Phuoc Police Office, helping the policeman on duty to watch and quickly recognize happenings in the area so as to handle them on time.

Captain Le Trung Tai, deputy head of the Nam Phuoc Town Police said, the security camera system has supported the local public security force very much in discovering and investigating crimes, at the same time contributing to disaster prevention and rescue. The security model of Long Xuyen 3 has brought about first positive results.

Captain Tai also said that the town police force is planning to install more cameras in some hotspots of security and order and  intersections in the town, and mobilize households living along the highway to install cameras to monitor security and order situation in locality.
