Social Order Administrative Management Police Force celebrates 80th founding anniversary

PSNews - Recently, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) solemnly held a ceremony in Hanoi, to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Social Order Administrative Management Police Force (April 18, 1946 – 2026).

At the ceremony, the Social Order Administrative Management Police Force received the Ho Chi Minh Order, while the Police Department of Social Order Administrative Management was awarded the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order.

Member of the Politburo and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung attended and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony. Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the ceremony.

Also present at the event were Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung.

Delivering the commemorative speech, Director of the Police Department of Social Order Administrative Management Major General Vu Van Tan emphasized that, as the country enters the digital era, the Social Order Administrative Management Police Force has become increasingly modern and has been entrusted to run key national systems, including the National Population Database, citizen identification and electronic identification and authentication platforms.

According to an evaluation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Vietnam is among the first countries, alongside France, Spain, Slovakia and the United States, to achieve the highest iBeta Level 2 standard for facial anti-spoofing authentication through the VNeID application.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung under the authority of the State President awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order to the Social Order Administrative Management Police Force and the First-Class Fatherland Protection Order to the Police Department for Social Order Administrative Management.

Recalling key milestones of the force in the past 80 years, the Prime Minister emphasized that, since its establishment, the force has played a core role in advising the Government and the Ministry of Public Security on breakthrough policies in state management of security and order, as well as in executing its function of state management of security and order, contributing to promoting a safe environment for socio-economic development.

In recent years, under the leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, the force has achieved significant milestones in national digital transformation, particularly through the development of the National Population Database, chip-based citizen identification, electronic identification and authentication systems, and the effective implementation of Project 06.

These big results, he noted, have marked a fundamental transition toward digital governance and modern public administration, reducing administrative procedures, saving time and costs for people and businesses.

 Regarding its missions in the time to come, the Prime Minister requested the force to continue maintaining its core role in digital transformation and contribute to modernizing the country’s governance and the national administrative system.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long pledged that the force will continue to implement comprehensive digital transformation, enhance the application of science and technology, and shift from a management-oriented approach to a service-oriented model, thereby contributing to the efficiency of crime prevention and control.
