State President visits Department of Internal Political Security

PSNews - Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong visited the Department of Internal Political Security under the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the People's Security Force (July 12, 1946), on the afternoon of July 11, in Hanoi.

Addressing the meeting, Director of the Internal Political Security Department Major General Vu Hong Van stated that, under the leadership of the Party, The State, the great President Ho Chi Minh as well as the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, the internal political security force have achieved many outstanding achievements and feats of arms in the past 65 years.

According to him, generations of internal political security have tried their best to build the force, constantly renovated their thinking, working methods, always been smart and creative at work, and completed all assignments, contributing to maintaining internal political security, preventing unexpected or unexpected scenarios.

For their great achievements and feats of arms, the Department of Internal Political Security, its subunits and officers have been rewarded various medals and honors by the Party and State, including the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces”.

Speaking at the meeting, President Vo Van Thuong praised and congratulated the force on its outstanding achievements and feats of arms over the past time.

Discussing complicated and unpredictable developments in the world, the region and the country in the coming time, the President underlined that the tasks of protecting national security and internal political security are crucial at present, and are requiring the internal political security force to always put on the alert and regularly improve professional expertise.

Regarding the force’s specific tasks in the coming time, President Vo Van Thuong emphasized that the Department of Internal Political Security should continue building the internal political security force as a really clean, strong, regular, elite and modern force, meeting the task requirements in the current context in line with Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW issued on March 16, 2022 by the 13th-term Politburo.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam thanked President Vo Van Thuong for his thought and care for the Public Security Forces as well as their missions of protecting national security and internal political security in recent times.

The Minister affirmed that the forces will keep in mind their glorious heroic tradition, constantly innovate thinking, always uphold the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, seriously study and follow Uncle Ho’s six teachings to the People's Public Security Forces, are ready to fight and sacrifice themselves for the sake of the people and Fatherland, and try their best to successfully fulfill the tasks of ensuring internal political security, protecting national security and building a really clean and strong internal political security force.
