Subcommittee on Security and Order Protection for Party congresses at all levels holds 4th meeting

PSNews - The 4th meeting of the Subcommittee on Security and Order Protection for the Party congresses of agencies and organizations at all levels and the 13th National Party Congress opened in September in Hanoi.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Subcommittee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Major General To An Xo, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Standing Member of the Subcommittee, briefed the delegates on its task performance since the 3rd meeting.

According to the report, public security units and agencies nationwide have firmly grasped security situations during the preparation and organization of Party congresses at all levels and advised leaders of the Party, State, and the MPS to issue important guidelines and directions in time to ensure security and order, and solve complicated problems.

Additionally, they gave good advice on solving internal political security issues at various units and localities. Meanwhile, the Public Security Forces closely coordinated with relevant units to verify the political standards of candidates for the next term Party Committees at all levels.

All public security units and agencies also strengthened the fight against false information and sabotage activities of reactionary and hostile forces.

In order to ensure absolute security and safety for the organization of Party congresses at all levels and the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and prevent any terrorist and sabotage acts, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked members of the Subcommittee to review the working plans and direct relevant units to take drastic measures to fulfill their assigned tasks as scheduled.

Particularly, the Subcommittee’s members should lead police forces to take preventive measures against crimes of all kinds and strictly manage weapons, explosives, combat gears while avoiding fire incidents and explosions, and ensuring traffic order and safety for the organization of the Party congresses at all levels, especially the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

They should also strictly observe regulations on COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control while serving political events, the Deputy Minister noted.
