Thanh Hoa Police hand over over 1.2 billion VND to victims of recent floods

PSNews – The Thanh Hoa Police in collaboration with the Charitable Group “ The journalists and businesses” on October 21-22 visited and presented gifts to victims of the recent flooding in Thuong Xuan and Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province. 

In Thuong Xuan district, the charitable mission handed over 22 cows to 22 needy families hard-affected by the floods and provided financial supports to rebuild homes for 8 damaged households. The mission also presented 30 million VND to the Yen Nhan commune authority to repair a broken road section, helping locals stabilize their lives. The total charity gifts were worth 743 million VND.

In Thach Thanh district, the charitable mission offered 30 cows to 30 needy flood-hit families and donated 465 million VND to a family with their house swept away by the floods.

The total financial support for the two districts was over 1.2 billion VND. This amount of money was donated by businesses and kind donors through the Charitable Group “The journalists and businesses”.

Members of the group in cooperation with the Thanh Hoa Police came to every flood-hit locality and handed over the meaningful gifts to all needy households with losses caused by the natural disasters.
