Thua Thien - Hue PS forces support local to prevent typhoon Sarika

On October 17th, Thua Thien-Hue public security force with relevant units have implemented several plans to prevent typhoon Sarika  and mitigate the consequences of natural disasters.

Colonel Phan Van Minh, director of Thua Thien-Hue public security office said: provincial forces have held a meeting to implement response plans to prevent typhoon Sarika.

Thua Thien Hue public security has directed several districts includes Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Huong Tra, Nam Dong, A Luoi ... to be on duty 24 / 24. 

With the plan "4 actions in place', public security forces prepare rescue vehicles and get ready to evacuate people in critical areas, mountainous areas, etc.

On the same day, Phu Vang District PS has sent officials and polices to coastal communes such as Phu Thuan, Phu Hai, Phu Dien, Thuan An town ... to inform, convince and direct local people to prevent themselves from the horrible typhoon.

Mr. Dang Tien Tuy, Chairmain of Phu Thuan People's Committee said, at 4pm 17/10, all 52 offshore fishing boats over 90 CV, 126 motorized and non-powered boats , 95 ferry boats have been anchored winthin storm shelters.

Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Cong Thang, Deputy Director of Phu Vang district public security force said that, the typhoon No.7 is forecast to affect North Central provinces, so Phu Vang forces has appointed units to inform people, support local citizen to prevent the typhoon No.7, reinforced their property.

Thua Thien-Hue province Border Defense Force Command has collaborated with local organizations to convince 138 021 vehicles and 1,922 employees to safety arrive at storm shetlers.

In addition, Thua Thien-Hue province industrial and trade department also reserves of 100 tons of rice, 100 tons of instant noodles, 2 million liters of gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene 30.000l to maneuver as needed.
