Traffic Police Department strengthens cooperation with Honda Vietnam

PSNews - The Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security on January 21 and Honda Vietnam Company (HVN) signed a coordination program to conduct traffic safety activities in the period of 2019-2021.

The program aims to open training courses for traffic police officers on driving large capacity vehicles; train the Road Traffic Law, traffic safety , traffic culture and driving skills for drivers of public security leaders; and popularize traffic safety regulations in the community.

From 2016 to 2018, Honda Vietnam trained over 1,000 police officers and soldiers under the Traffic Police Department and police officers who were in charge of traffic order in 29 provinces and cities. The company also provided training for over 180 police officers and soldiers who were in charge of accompanying delegations and ensuring road safety at the APEC 2017.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Lieutenant General Vu Do Anh Dung, Director of the Traffic Police Department thanked Honda Vietnam for their close coordination in organizing training courses for officers and soldiers of the traffic police force and other police forces, as well as in popularizing traffic safety regulations, traffic culture, and organizing traffic contests.

Lieutenant General Vu Do Anh Dung also asked functional units of the Traffic Police Department in collaboration with Honda Vietnam to review and propose new contents and methods of the bilateral cooperation for more practical outcomes.

At the event, the organizers also presented Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to 2 organizations with outstanding achievements in implementing measures to ensure traffic safety in the 2016-2019 periods.
