According to the centre the low-pressure system currently exists with axes at 5- 8 degrees North in the southern area of the East Sea.

The strengthening low-pressure system will cause thunderstorms, strong winds and rough sea in the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau provinces including the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago area.
Forecasters said over the next few days, a low-pressure zone will take shape in Truong Sa archipelago area and is likely to develop into a tropical depression.
The tropical depression will track fast to the west and will directly affect the south central and southern provinces.
