Uncle Ho's Six Teachings serve as guiding stars for all activities of the Public Security Forces

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper on May 14 held a meeting with outstanding models of the Public Security Forces on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the "Public Security Forces studying and following Uncle Ho's Teachings” movement and the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation.

The meeting saw the presences of Mr. Thuan Huu, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and 35 delegates who are Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, “National Emulation Soldier” title holders and outstanding organizations and individuals.

70 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Director of Police Zone 12 with the six teachings on the manners of the revolutionary police officers.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that, Uncle Ho's Six Teachings have become the valuable spiritual heritage, the guideline for all activities of the Public Security Forces. The teachings have become the standards of morals and lifestyles, as well as the action motto of all generations of public security officers and soldiers. Uncle Ho's Six Teachings also serve as a motive and source of power helping the public security officers and soldiers overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh stressed that the meeting was a meaningful activity to praise the achievements of the Public Security Forces in general, and the outstanding organizations and individuals in protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety, and building force.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh extended his thanks to the Nhan Dan Newspaper for the close and effective coordination with the Public Security Forces in ensuring security and order and building the public security forces. He also said that, for many years, the Public Security Forces have always received the support from the press and media in general and the Nhan Dan Newspaper in particular.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, over the years, the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho’s Six Teachings among public security officers and soldiers has been expanded in various forms and methods. He suggested all public security officers and soldiers should seriously follow the six teachings of Uncle Ho when they perform their duties, and drill in morality and living styles.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also said that, in the coming time, the Public Security Forces would continue to  boost the movement to a new high level, while promoting the movement of “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morals and style in association with other emulation movements to create a dramatic positive change in the whole forces.
