Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that the two sides should enhance the sharing of information about crime and the security and order situation in each country, develop specific plans to further cooperation in preventing and controlling transnational illicit drug trafficking, promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, coordination in building capacity of law enforcement officers, and exchange of experiences in fighting drug-related crimes and managing precursors.
He also wished that the Korean side would continue to provide funding and aid projects for the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the fields of electronic digital analysis, data recovery, electronic evidence, genetic testing as well as modern technical equipment, facilitating Vietnam’s building of a national data system on population and digital government.
For his part, Commander Yoon Hee Keun highly valued the significance of the content of the meeting, saying that both sides showed constructiveness, trust, friendship and sincerity whiel discussing issues of mutual concern.
He stressed that the bilateral cooperation aims at safeguarding national security, maintaining security and order in each country, and preserving common security in the region and the world.
According to the guest, the cooperation between the police forces of the two countries also contributes positively to deepening the Vietnam-Korea comprehensive strategic partnership.
Reguarding the requests from the Vietnamese side, he said, the Korean side will continue to closely coordinate closely with the Vietnamese police force in dealing with issues of mutual concern, and expand political and security cooperation activities between the two countries in a practical and effective manner.
