Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc affirmed that the exhibition was a chance for Lao students, lecturers, researchers and managers to meet, exchange information and seek scholarships and cooperation opportunities with universities in Vietnam.

According to Deputy Minister Phuc, during the development process of the two countries, the Vietnamese and Lao governments have set out specific strategies for cooperation in education and human resource development.

The forum offered an opportunity for educational institutions, educational management agencies and enterprises from Vietnam and Laos to share their achievements and proposed specific issues towards improving the quality of higher education of the two countries.

At the forum, 24 memoranda of understanding were signed between Vietnamese and Lao education management agencies, universities and colleges.
